Building my own computer

I decided that I am going to build my own computer. My dear laptop is dying. Some of the letters on my keyboards are falling off and it is very slow. So I happen to find a kit on New Egg that will help me put it all together.

I never put a laptop together before, but I think it would be fun to do so. I do have a friend that knows about computers, so if I should get stumbled, at least he could give me some pointers. I am hoping to do it all myself with no help.
