Kaenon Puts Fun in Function with New Sunglass Colors

Whoever put the word "fun" in "function" wasn't referring to style, that is until Kaenon Polarized came onto the seen with their new assortment of colors in their ever popular line of sports performance sunglasses. Someone within the corporate halls at Kaenon gets what women want, and as a simple girl with sophisticated tastes, I applaud you on bringing together function, style, comfort and the best lenses on the market - HANDS DOWN!

Sometimes, a girl just wants simple function with a bit of sass and class. This is exactly what I got when my newest hiking accessory came in. No, not shoes, or another layer - but my long awaited and beloved Kaenon sunglasses. I saw the Calais in Abalone and had to have them. What a cool color! The oversized frame blocks a ton of light, protects my bodacious peepers from premature wrinkles and lets me look like me on or off the trail. Anyway, until recently, I'd never heard about Kaenon, but not too long after my friend mentioned them, I've seemed to see them everywhere. From Danica Patrick to kayak goddess, Christie Glissmeyer, two women I've long admired in terms of guts and bravado. So in honor of my newest fashion find, this post has nothing to do with tech this time around. But since I'm not sure who reads this anyway, does it really matter? So this one goes out to Kaenon, "props on the new colors...love, love, love them!"

I love being a girl geek

Being a girl geek means never having to know the number for Irvine tech support, or bugging my husband or some other guy geek to fix things for me. In fact, even though I'm "just" a girl, I'm the one who maintains the computers in this house, as well as the computers for my family members. That's eight computers altogether, and yes, I'm on top of every last one of them. :)

Being a girl geek also means having the latest technological goodies, like the Peek, a Garmin, a T-Mobile G1, and so on and so forth!

What makes a girl a geek?

Open up my purse and you'll find a wallet, keys for the house and vehicles, chap stick, lotion, a hair band or two, loose change, possibly a toy (I have two young children), and some pens. You'll also find an iPod, a cell phone, a Peek, my point and shoot digital camera, and a portable GPS (Garmin).

Ask me what I want for Christmas and I'd probably rattle off a list of Nikon lenses and accessories, and maybe a few computer-related goodies.

Check out my receipts for my "splurge" items and you'll see a laptop, an external hard drive or two, a computer mouse, and ring tones for my cell phone.

Yes, I'd definitely say that I am a geek!
